Dredging is an excavation technique that uses specially designed equipment to “vacuum” silt and debris from the bottom of a waterway. The sediment is then pumped into bags located nearby and allowed to dewater. The clean water will filter back into the waterway.
Dredging can clean, widen and deepen a body of water. By removing muck, debris and invasive vegetation, the water becomes more purified and oxygenated, which makes a more friendly environment for aquatic and riparian animals. Our mini dredge allows versatility and accessibility to sensitive environments with minimal impact to the surrounding areas.
No draining of the lake or pond is necessary. The results are immediate and water quality quickly improves. Dried sediment is nutrient rich and may be utilized on site.
Each project is unique. We will custom design a plan based on your specific needs. Call us to schedule an onsite consultation.
This method requires significantly less time than traditional excavation or hand held pumps. We can estimate time requirements when we have a better idea of your project scope.
